We are delighted to invite you to the 9thAnnual Conference and Scientific Meeting of the Association of Development Communication Educators and Practitioners (ADCEP) Philippines from 29 November to 2 December 2019 at the Mindanao State University – Marawi and Iligan campuses. The theme for this conference is DevCom in Conflict, Peace, and Community Building. The submission deadline is on 30 September 2019.
This year marks the second year of the plight of the Marawi Siege and the approval of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao. Hence, research papers that examine and trace the role of development communication in conflict, peace negotiations, and resilience need to be shared and discussed among development communication educators and practitioners. The sub themes for this year’s conference include the following:
The conference program includes a visit in Marawi City and the internally displaced individuals to encourage educators and practitioners alike to write more research and implement DevCom initiatives that can forward the prevention and countering of violence extremism.

ADCEP is a group organized to expound on the praxis of DEVELOPMENT COMMUNICATION, specifically to share and discuss about the narratives, trends, challenges and future of the field in the local, national, and global contexts.
